BUT, the JASO MB specification allows real energy savings, reducing fuel consumption by up to 3% if compared with a 20W-50 JASO MA and up to 2% if compared to a 10W-30 JASO MA, in urban conditions with frequent stops and starts.
By reducing fuel consumption, JASO MB lubricant contributes to the reduction of CO2 and allows a decrease in polluting emissions.
The 10W-30 viscosity is the one most requested in recent applications by the major manufacturers, especially HONDA in some models, and improves cold starts by reducing engine wear.
